About Paper and Plastic Products
We develop businesses with a global perspective. We provide reliable supply for all kinds of paper, from general printing paper to specialty paper, and meet diversified needs of our customers, by providing various information and proposing plans for cost reduction. We also supply other packaging materials such as plastic films and plastic containerboards, including design-planning for processed products using these materials.
Publication and Printing Papers
We handle various items, from the printing paper used for pamphlets and flyers/newspaper inserts to special kinds of paper with various functions. We do not confine ourselves to Japan; we handle paper through a worldwide network through agreements with overseas paper manufacturers.
Plastic Products
Our range of various films and plastic containerboards covers not only the handling of materials, but also involves selecting the right materials and creating commercial designs. In sum, we supply processed products that suit our customer’s needs.
Overseas Trading
We are engaged in export and triangular trade of paper, paperboard, and paper products. Utilizing the global network of the Sumitomo Corporation Group, we have our customers and suppliers throughout various countries. We export paper and paperboard mainly to China and South-East Asian countries as well as to customers in Europe, India, and Russia. We will continue to develop new business opportunities as we keep our eye on worldwide market trends.
